TASUMA Standard Poodles would like to announce our latest litter of 5 beautiful puppies, born July 16, 2019. Dam: TASUMA Midnight Jewel – “Le-La” AKC Registration PR18976408 and Sire: AKC GCH Kissme Delovely Big Shot – “Barrett” AKC Registration PR18944407. We had 4 females (3 white and 1 black) and 1 male (black).
We are thrilled with this litter of 5 puppies that Lela and Barrett have produced. Le-la is a daughter of Fannie (TASUMA My Fantastic Fannie) and Simon (GCH CH Aleph American Idol) and Le-la was born November 29, 2015. Le-la has had all the required testing to obtain her CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number 137923 from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), and we also had her tested for NEWS (NE) Neonatal Encephalopathy as well as Type 1 Von Willebrands Disease and she was clear. Le-la was shown in confirmation and is now working on obedience and then on to agility. The sire Barrett, born December 2015, obtained his Championship title and then Grand Champion Title earlier this year. He has also had all the required health testing and is clear. This beautiful litter was whelped on at 2am on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 and the first puppy came within 2 hours of Le-la nesting in the whelping box. The puppies birth weight was between 11.5 and 13 ounces. Each puppy latched immediately with no issues. Over the next few weeks we placed puppy pee pads and a crate without the door into the whelping box. The puppies quickly took to using the pee pads and started sleeping in the crate. At first they all slept together, maybe one or two outside the crate, and now we have a second crate in the whelping pen here in Texas. The puppies and Le-La made the trip, via car, from Tennessee to Texas at 4 weeks old and we were pleasantly surprised at how well the puppies traveled.
